Rules & Policies
Welcome to Redmond Gymnastics Academy!
We are so thrilled to have your child enrolled in our preschool, recreational or competitive programs!
Preschool programs:
Children entering the RGA programs as Busy bees- (Parent / Tot) class beginning at 18 months. Our comprehensive progression-based program ensures that every child learns and practices safe skill building gymnastics techniques on every piece of equipment in the gym. We also emphasize having lots of fun and learning positive group and life skills like cooperation, listening, following directions, demonstrating, respect and many more.
Children ages 3 and 4 attending the Grasshoppers class where they learn and practice beginning skills on the floor (tumbling and dance), uneven or parallel bars, balance beam, vault, trampoline and tumbletrak.
Children ages 5 and 6 attending the Super Beatles class where they learn and practice motor skills, coordination, listening skills, and learning basic gymnastics skills like forward rolls, backward rolls, as well as familiarization with all gymnastics equipment. At this level, basic body positions, rolls, jumps and solid landing are all part of the tumbling work. Bar skills such as pullovers, forward rolls and front supports will aid in strength and agility.
Recreational programs:
The Recreational classes in RGA begin when the kids are 6 years or older. They will complete a skill test to determine their appropriate class placement. This is done regardless of prior instruction at other facilities or previous participation at RGA. It is our goal to make sure that gymnasts are placed in the right class for their current skill level. RGA has a clear structure of Levels - 1, 2, and 3 classes and kids are required to complete the skills for each class before moving to the next level.
After Levels 1, 2, and 3 kids have a choice to join the competitive teams or continue with Advance Gymnastics Non Competitive classes offered in RGA.
Schedule:
Class schedules, which begin September 1, 2011 and end May 30, 2012, are consistent for the entire programming year at RGA. Participants register for the class or classes that best fit their schedule and attend that class on a weekly basis. Gymnasts may choose to participate on multiple days, which is especially encouraged for Level 3 and PreTeam classes. Instructors are assigned for classes based on a 6 students to 1 instructor ratio for all Preschool classes, 8 students to 1 instructor ratio for all Recreational classes and a 10 student to 1 instructor ratio for all Teams. Event (apparatus) rotations and lesson plans are developed to ensure consistent instruction and practice on vault, bars, beam, floor, beginning dance elements for girls and vault, floor, high bar, rings, parallel bars, pommel horse for boys and trampoline and tumbletrak for both, girls and boys. Students will be skill tested for level advancement any time during the month at the request of their instructor.

Tuition fees are based on the calendar months.
Tuition fees must be paid in full. There is no refund for missed classes.
Tuition fees for the first and last month of instruction are due when enrolling in a class.
Tuition fees for each month when enrolled, are due on the 25th of previous month.
Tuition is considered late on the 1st of each month, which incurs a late fee of $15.
A $25 fee will be assessed to checks that are returned due to insufficient funds.
Attendance:
Students who have late payments will not be allowed to participate in class until payment is up to date. Students are automatically reenrolled in their same class each month unless a drop slip is filled out and returned to the office within 30 days prior to their last class.
